Our 2023 ORGANIC EXTRA-VIRGIN OLIVE OIL is currently on sale

Olives for this ORGANIC EXTRA-VIRGIN OLIVE OIL were picked in the autumn of 2023 by Caleb, Bob, Django, Amanda and many other visiting friends in Ceglie Messapica, Puglia, southern Italy. The 120 olive trees on their five acres of land are nestled among majestic oaks, fruit and nut trees, rosemary, bay, thyme, wild mint, and stone shelters called “trulli”, all which influence the taste of the oil. Some of the olive trees are 400 years old which means people have been tending to and harvesting these trees for centuries which is astounding and humbling. Caleb arrived 23 years ago and using organic practices, began to heal and nourish the land that had been treated with herbicides for decades. Bob, Caleb’s father, has been making oil with Caleb since 2000. Amanda joined them in 2012 and this is their 8th harvest together. Although the oil is a mix of olives, the two dominant types are Cellina di Nardò and Ogliarola Salentina. The oil is unfiltered and the acidity level is 0.02%.
