2020 OLIVE HARVEST

The harvest of 2020 was small and unexpected as olives are typically on an every-other-year cycle and 2019 was abundant, but it was a harvest nonetheless. We got off to a rough start as on the first day our new, six meter chestnut ladder broke in half while Caleb was on it. Miraculously he was okay but it took weeks of healing and he was immediately out of the game. His accident left the harvest to me, Bob his father, a dear friend, and a couple ragazzi, that was all further complicated due to people quarantining and coming into contact with other people who could be contagious and well, it’s been a complicated year! In any case, there were some beautiful moments and the oil as good as ever. Looking forward to a less eventful harvest next year.
