Cara Amanda, Oggi sono stata con A. mentre si esercitava con la tromba, questa volta con la video-chiamata di Messenger. Diversamente da G., che per allenarsi suona brani interi per solo violino scegliendo autori come Bach che offrono difficoltà diverse, A. parte con lunghi esercizi tecnici o di respirazione (producendo anche suoni fuori dal pentagramma) e finisce con un’improvvisazione spaziando tra riferimenti classici e jazz. Non ha mai pensato di registrarsi, anche se potrebbe essere interessante riascoltarsi nel tempo. Prova per circa due ore al giorno. All’inizio della quarantena invece ha avuto una settimana in cui non se la sentiva. Cantanti, ballerini e orchestrali del Teatro San Carlo devono tenersi allenati senza nessuna indicazione e probabilmente saranno tra gli ultimi a tornare al lavoro. Nel frattempo entrare a casa loro mentre studiano è proprio quel disegnare dietro le quinte che ho fatto per un periodo in teatro ma in questo caso è molto più intimo e ho la possibilità di fare le mie solite mille domande. Un vero spettacolo.

I know we’re all crossing our fingers for all kinds of things these days but do a pinky cross for us that these grafts will take.
